I'm puzzled by all the虚假的5-star reviews. This book appears to be a generic copy of other Chinese urban novels. The protagonist constantly meets a new love interest every few chapters, conveniently possessing skills related to charming them due to his past life experiences as a tutor, novelist, singer, musician, and martial artist. Yet, despite being described as a lazy slacker who did nothing but wait for wealth to fall into his lap, he inexplicably excels at everything. It's unrealistic for someone with such a history to suddenly become so proficient.

This story doesn't offer anything groundbreaking; it follows the familiar formula of a Chinese time-travel tale where the hero wins over every girl. As mindless entertainment, it's decent enough, but don't have high expectations.

The translation quality leaves something to be desired, and the website lacks proper formatting, making it difficult to read due to large, poorly phrased paragraphs. My expectations were higher based on previous reviews, but unfortunately, the story turns out to be quite basic, with characters that come across as unrealistic.

To elaborate on the plot, the main character, despite being 23, exhibits an unusual regression in certain situations, yet confidently stands up for a heroine without much hesitation. This character's transformation into a Casanova-like figure feels forced, without a clear catalyst. The female characters, unfortunately, feel one-dimensional and fall into tired stereotypes – like the icy rural girl, the class president who initially rejects love but eventually succumbs due to a simple act of kindness, and the attractive teacher... The point is, they lack depth.

While it's not a disaster, I personally don't find it as profound or engaging as some reviews suggest.

I have thoroughly enjoyed the first 59 chapters, and I must say it's exceptional. The writing is top-notch, with subtle character growth and intriguing personalities. The protagonist's perspective on life, though initially perceived as laziness, reveals a healthy detachment that, in fact, attracts others. The focus on everyday details, like casual conversations with friends, school punctuality, family cooking, and visits to grandparents, adds depth and authenticity to the narrative.

What stands out is the author's ability to reveal profound insights through seemingly mundane moments, reminding us that profound understanding often comes from the small things, not grand events. The novel maintains an element of surprise and curiosity with each encounter, leaving readers wondering about the relationships and interactions that will unfold. This sense of intrigue is a delightful aspect of the story.

To be honest, this isn't what I typically expect from a Chinese novel, especially one with its title. However, I am pleasantly surprised and captivated by its unique approach. I am eager to see how the story unfolds and express my gratitude to the translator and team for discovering and bringing this gem to English readers. Keep up the excellent work!

It was a good read, it has ups and downs. Even though it was rushed ending it still feels not to bad. It was a good novel to pass time.
